Well it was an interesting entertainment experiment while it lasted and I am sure it was lucrative for them which is good.  But clearly that show will never be the same and it will be wokified in short time.

Understand that the show was not purchased to simply add it to the ESPN lineup, it was purchased to stop it from pulling viewers away from ESPN.

This is an everyday event in the corporate world.  Company X makes widgets and company Y makes widgets.  Company X buys company Y not for their widget technology but to purchase their customer pool.

Chrissie Mayr said the point of any career is to be bigger than your fanbase. ESPN, like SportsIllustrated, jumped the shark a long time ago. Stephen A. Smith is cancer. Max Kellerman is worse. That Schaap guy is another one. There’s another guy I cant’ find who is kind of chubby with a beard who has a show there and he is a weirdo. It’s been a while, but to think how far Keith Olbermann fell.

Not sure what happened to ESPN. It used to be kind of fun with reporters who just liked sports. I think money and status must have ruined it and they got way preachy. It happens to all the TV people. They get contracts and all of a sudden, they get a Xerxes complex. I miss the days of Stuart Scott and Chris Berman. Also, they mix it up well, but there is a bit of a geezer complex syndrome starting to creep in there. Dan Patrick is lame to me and he’s just old. Scott Van Pelt is overexposed. I don’t think fondly of the personalities, nor the network. Like other cable stations, there was too much propaganda over the years. I won’t ever go back to viewing it ever. Same with some of the leagues. Let the youth enjoy it, but I can’t understand anyone who is into sports after about age 30.

It hasn’t happened just yet, but I see the same thing starting to happen with influencers. They push propaganda for payola. They berate people on behalf of the rich class. The obvious example is TYT, but I mean the big Twitter people. It is very much a cult.

Never been a fan of ESPN but to my knowledge what happened to it was Disney.
