From a logical point of view the BTS members should serve.

Yes and no. Korea has the rule that people who are globally successful are able to get exemption from the military because it is seen as their way to serve the country. For example winning the Asian Games. BTS has brought more attention and raised the GDP more than any sport player, almost as much as Samsung and Hyundai, yet a Korean football player who never played a single minute and nobody knows about is getting exemption because he happened to be on the football team that won the Asian Games. So according to that logic, they shouldn’t need to do it either.

However, there are specific requirements made for awards winning giving the exemption and none of those awards are awards BTS can win as it’s mostly sports related. Meaning they will have to serve, even id the former president tried to add in the kist an accomplishment that can give BTS the exemption.

in countries where feminism has pushed for equality: yes they should. Feminists wanted “equality” so let females and indeed all members of the LGBTQ+-%<> community be eligible for placement on the frontline to take bullets up their wazoo just like Men.

    No picking and choosing here.

first of all, Korea is a very conservative country which can be seen in the low gender equality index. Also, I think I dod a good job in explainin in this thread why having mandatory service for females would be a bad idea. Thirdly, let me quote @Vknid

You seem to want to treat men and women as if they are interchangeable cogs in a machine.  That reeks of communism.  Men and women ARE NOT THE SAME and should not be treated as such.  Equal, but not the same.
