This is just not entertaining. For years he was fun and gave great takes, but now it’s this stuff 24/7 with no other content.

    Sorry, I’m out.

You held out longer than I did…
If I want constant rumor and unnamed sources I can turn on CNN, MSNBC and pretty much any mainstream news source. But at least they are right 1% of the time.

If Doomcock went back to giving takes, doing reviews, and long form rants on what used to be good .vs. today’s garbage…like he used to, I’d be back onboard.

But this endless rumor milling about Disney Lucasfilm, which won’t change anything for Star Wars until Disney doesn’t own Star Wars anymore, is just painfully boring. I mean, Doomcock isn’t even an EU guy, so even though I enjoy his takes on stuff over the years, I never liked his Star Wars takes, because from my position he wasn’t operating with all the necessary ammunition to take on that fight. So for him to devote all his time to this stuff….I just can’t take it anymore.

I stopped watching his vids months ago.  He’s become Mike Zeroh with a bigger cringe factor.

He can stay angry like a high school kid all he wants, he lost any entertainment value for me a long time ago. I might had gone back had he changed, but his actions in the RK situation showed me the kind of person he is. So I’m out.

Twitter is a poison that brings out the worst in people, Doomcock’s Twitter tirade as a part of that incident being an example of that. The existence of Twitter has gone towards people losing that filter that used to make you stop and consider what you were about to say.

Discretion is the better part of valor, and YouTube drama never really helps anyone except SJWs who want us to fail.

Speaking as a one time fan, I wish Doomcock had never started to play the rumor game.

Speaking as a YouTuber, he’s free to do whatever he wants with his channel, but I think it’s costing him more in the long run as opposed to the short term gains he may be getting in terms of views. He’ll always have his loyal fanbase, as evident from commentary I read, but he’ll be losing more people like me who likes to watch the entire range of folks in this corner of YouTube and get disappointed when stuff like this goes down as it did.

I don’t watch this kind of videos. But it’s not just from him, it’s from everyone. They all do it. Same with the videos about amber heard, videos about twitch thots being banned for a couple of hours, videos about brie larson, videos about episode x of batwoman (who da fuck watches that shit??!) or any other shitty tv show, etc … i dont have any interest on that kind of content, so I decide to not watch it.
But I won’t unfollow the youtuber, if it’s someone who usually also uploads some cool shit. We still have the freedom to choose what to watch.

I find Doomcock’s live streams very entertaining. Much better than some other livestreams that are full of inside jokes and awkward giggling in the whole stream.

Oh, it’s not about the show…it’s about watching someone like Az descend into madness after watching it…that’s the fun part.

yeah lol its funny … but for every single episode seems a little bit too much haha xD (it was just an example :) )

I was already watching him less. Then the Ryan incident happened, and I just don’t have much interest anymore in DC. Video’s like this one just prove it. I am sick of people spreading rumor as fact and people believing it, because somewhere a long the way the “rumor” aspect changes into fact. It happens all the time.

I agreed with Ryan’s take on things, just not how he said it of course. DC either didn’t know EXACTLY what was going on, or decided to “react” and twisted what happened spreading false information while making untrue accusations on his Twitter account about it. The entire thing got blown up WAY more than it needed to be and trying to force Jeremy and Gary to do something was also just ridiculous imo. Ryan did not insult the entire fan base, nor did he attack DC, but that’s what you would be led to believe happened if you read DC’s Twitter. I found the entire situation ridiculous. Seeing DC’s reaction just put me off, and seeing his “fan base” act like wounded butthurt children put me off even more. I found the entire thing frankly pathetic. Had people actually paid attention to what Ryan said, and listened to the live stream where Ryan clarified things, none of it would have happened. But, as usual, people don’t actually get the facts of things on Twitter, they just react and turn it into drama.

I enjoy Harvey, but DC seems fit to use him very rarely. If he used Harvey more I might be interested to watch, but DC has turned into a tabloid with sci-fi effects.

I am not “loyal” to any fanbase or youtuber. I simply like people and their content. That’s all. I like Az, Gary, Jeremy, and others. I don’t get butthurt over an opinion from one of them and I certainly don’t attack anyone from any “side” over it. I don’t “demand justice” over an opinion. My life goes on either way. I don’t need to get on twitter and throw a tantrum or pity party. The entire thing just showed once again why Twitter is a cess pool I have no interest in using.

It’s not surprising. The dude is just an entertainer (a good one at that) and he is doing what he thinks will get him the most views right now. When views actually drop he will adjust.

But I agree. On any topic I hate articles or videos based on nothing. You see this a TON in sports “journalism”. They will basically write about anything they can make up to fill the dead air.

I still watch Doomcock, but I don’t find myself leaping to watch his videos the moment they show up in my feed like I used to. Perhaps because in the absence of new output from the studios for him to react to all he can do is speculate about rumours.

Although generally a fan of his work I did find his review of the first episode of Picard to be very sloppy, making assumptions about things not said that suggested he was just going out of his way to dismiss the show. I watched the episode after seeing his review and so went in with a very negative opinion so was pleasantly surprised to find it enjoyable despite its flaws while the supposed massive faults Doomcock claimed did not exist (for those wondering he claimed that the Romulans left it entirely to the Federation to evacuate Romulus while also claiming that the planet’s population was far too low to be believable – it was obvious to me that the Federation were just helping to make up for the shortfall in what the Romulans could manage, he said Romulan agents could suddenly spit acid – this looked like nothing more than a more advanced version of the cyanide capsule in a tooth used in some spy fiction to me and also said that the Romulans would have beamed the girl they were hunting to their ship instead of going to her home – despite them obviously being concerned that she could turn into a super-powered killing machine that no-one in their right mind would want to be stuck on a starship with).

Although still a viewer I take everything he says with a very big pinch of salt.
