Talk about/suggest any shows you think don’t get the recognition they deserve.

It blows my mind that Burn Notice and The Shield seem to get no love. Two of the greatest shows ever made. Back in the day FX and USA had some of the best shows on TV.

The Shield, for those who are unaware, was often compared to The Wire for some reason. I guess because they were both pretty dark and cynical. But The Shield managed to pull off a true anti-hero in Vic. The guy was an unrepentant piece of shit. He beat suspects, stole drugs, murdered another cop and cheated on his wife but you still kind of loved him. I can’t think of anyone other than Tony Soprano that walked that line so perfectly.

Burn Notice was just fun, man. Starring Jefferey Donovan and his anger face (the tour guide from blair witch 2.) Essentially a modern Macgyver. The final season really dragged, but it is without a doubt my favorite original series from a cable network. About a “burned” spy trying to find out why he was fired and chasing down the people who made it happen. Takes odd jobs to help random people in need with his leet skills. Has Bruce Campbell as a retired, alcoholic navy seal who bangs rich old women. It’s amazing.
