This is an interesting set of events. These folks are upset with the politicians they elected not because they lied to them but because they did EXACTLY what they said they would.

Furthermore notice that with people complaining loudly in their faces they don’t capitulate to the crowd’s (voters) demands they tell them they are going to give them MORE of it. AOC’s solution is not to have less immigrants but to make them legal enough so they can get jobs. THAT’S one of the entire point. USA slave labor pool. Do you think letting limitless migration is compassionate?

These New Yorkers are wasting their breath. Protests only work if they people whom you are protesting against care. And they don’t. Not in the least.

OH, we have declared ourselves a “sanctuary city” so long as we don’t have to see ANY illegal immigrants ourselves.

And we I see the mayor of NYC decry how the city cannot handle a few thousand migrants (in a city of nearly 8.5 million) while the border towns/cities/states have.

The number of undocumented immigrant crossings at the southwest border for fiscal year 2022 topped 2.76 million.

out of those:

Roughly 100,000 migrants have come to NYC since last spring.

Solution: Fix the border! Secure the border! Streamline the legal immigration process. And stop incentivizing illegal immigrations.

The people are correct in this case and I agree with their pleas. However, they asked for this. And I would lay good money down on the fact they will vote Biden again.

The same goes for the folks in Hawaii. They got what they voted for as it relates to government response.

Does this mean we point and laugh and consider them less? No. We take advantage of their most recent learning event and use the opportunity to teach them more.

Culture is turning. People are waking up because they feel pain and they ask why. Let them know why.

Agree with everything the people are saying. Maui voted for their own kids to burn? I don’t think so. Josh Green, that snaggle-toothed sad sack,is not believable to me that he represents Hawaii.

Ballot initiatives, referendums, ballot measures, propositions and things like that never go the way of the people, even when they vote for them. I’ve seen this happen before. Whatever they say about how the system works, it’s false.

That would be like accusing me, a Trump voter, of voting for Vaccine mandates, lockdowns and Jared Kushner getting billions. That is not what I voted for.

Not surprised that opponents are upping the ante as AOC and the other DEMonS have been very disrespectful to their constituents.

During last year’s election campaign she mocked protesters by dancing to their chants instead of addressing their concerns – real mature behavior.

People are fed up and the counter-movement is growing stronger.

I cannot speak for everyone, but when I speak of Maui in that manner I am speaking of the response post fire. Although there has been much talk of local government failure that possibly made the actual tragic situation worse.

They have NEVER had the best interests of their constituents as their motivation. It’s just getting so obvious now it cannot be ignored. But that’s the situation I made the post for. They are doing what they promised and now that it’s happening the voters are upset. I hope it’s a lesson they learn from.
