I have heard people reference that term for about a year now.  I honestly did not think it was something that would crop up with any sort of haste.  However, I think I was wrong given the number of platforms/companies that are coming up AND doing fairly well. Not only is there a good number of them, they are varied and diverse in their uses from Locals to SubscribeStar to even The Rippaverse.

The upshot is if such companies can place enough economic pressure on the existing companies it will force them to become more free and open to compete.

Here is an example of one recent story.

It’s an interesting topic, of course. In a way, I am glad that our economy is developing, as are the companies in principle. And this applies to all areas. I used to think that any insurance is a stupid waste of money. Turns out it’s not. Now I’m really getting into the swing of things and have started learning more about Homeowners’ Insurance and auto insurance at american-reia.com. I realized that these insurances can be arranged without spending a lot of money at the same time. After thinking about all the benefits of auto insurance, it would be at least a foolish decision to refuse it, because a small premium can really save your wallet from unexpected expenses.
