Once again we have HORRIBLE music that has NOTHING to do with the atmosphere and genre of this franchise. And RIGHT off the bat it starts. It ruined the trailer, I simply cannot stand it. I am so SICK of the “boom, bang, woomp” bullshit in trailers now days. Completely sick of it. This looks like it could really bad with the stupid kids and the low IQ humor, but what am I saying, all the previous ones had that crap too. If you cut out all the human crap and low IQ humor from all the Transformers movies, you would have GOOD movies.

Seriously. Would it be too much to ask to have a Transformers movie without one single human in it? Please? Netflix actually has a few decent Transformers shows, but clearly Hollywood has no idea how to make a good movie with the franchise.

You bring up an EXCELLENT point.

Technology over the years has gotten better. And our CGI quality for decades evolved with the technology. But then in the last 10 years or so CGI has fallen behind the tech. Why? I suspect the diversity hires doing the artwork are far less talented compared to those would have been hired in a true meritocracy.

Corporate greed, Cost Cutting and Scheduling.

My take is they’re rushing to get as much movies out to market as possible and sacrificing production quality to keep costs down. Look at some of those recent Marvel releases, it’s not only CGI that’s suffering — the writing is poor and some of the costumes (*cough* Iron Heart *cough*) are atrocious.

I recently re-watched Transformers (2007) and that movie had a good story and CGI which is still holds up today. Yeah, they could made it about 30 mins shorter by cutting out all of the stupid, irrelevant comedy sequences and it would still be good.

It’s the best of all the Transformers movies in my opinion.
