Hopefully this is the start of a flood of such intent. I would imagine this lady will have tons of support from the people and none from the current government. I assume she will receive tons of ill will unfortunately.

About time. They should be investigating REAL criminals and not people who’ve hurt other people’s feelings and are using it as a “hate crime”. I can name at least one YouTuber who got into bother with his local police because according to their mind-set he had “hurt people’s feelings” by “shouting too loudly” in his videos!

I know of several UK youtubers who got in trouble for their opinions. 2 of them I know for sure got arrested. I don’t think they do youtube anymore because of it.

And that’s all that hate crime stuff is. A silencing campaign. Which is why I know that poor lady is going to catch hell.

The thought police (Big Brother from the novel 1984) have been told to get back to using resources to solving true crime, if she gets elected.

So while it is still a good idea to look for extremists (left and right) plotting attacks/etc., this current targeting of one group over the other needs to stop by the police and left to the intelligence agencies.

The police have too much to do as it is.
