Very Troubling Youtube Repression

Hey guys, how’s everybody’s weekend starting?
I don’t know how many of you are Youtubers, I think Jeremy is a YTber lol but I would like to pick some of you & your thoughts if you are YTubers.
This has been an ongoing thing on my channel for over a year now. It’s getting extremely frustrating since I am legitimately trying to grow my brand & Channel.
I have currently 1526 subscribers, I used to get 1000s of views consistently with 1000s of impressions/suggested videos. During the Joe Brandon Elections, my channel was flatlined (I made a couple of videos encouraging Conservatives to go out & vote so the US doesn’t become Justin Trudeau’s Canada, where I live.) After the election, I struggled to even get 10 views on my videos & I would get 100-200 impressions/suggestions per video, regardless of how popular the topic got. This went on for over a year, you can see my view count per video on my channel. Then late 2021, they removed some discoverability restrictions & I made a series of videos: THE WORST OF SANTA INC, which covered episodes 1-8. I got monetized thanks to those videos with 6k watch hours in 2 weeks.
Since then, to today, they keep doing the same thing. They would enable/disable my discoverability. This year, I hit another virality checkpoint with THE WORST OF SHE HULK series. Those did just as well, but after the 5th video, they pulled my ranking from that category & I would only get 50-100 views instead of 1k-3k views.
    It’s very discouraging.
You would think, Hey since your monetized why not reach out to Youtube Partner Support to fix your issue. I have, many times, At least 10 times. The funny thing is that they ALL tell me they see something very wrong & they need (usually) 20 minutes to look into the impression/suggestion algorithm for my channel.
They eventually have to escalate to tier 2-3 & then a performance expert emails me explaining to me something I never asked them about & give me a bunch of links to impressions.
The last chat was the best though because I was told that there are no real Youtube Categories & that youtube, even though you make GAMING videos or Movie reviews (which is what I do) the algorithm WILL NOT suggest your videos to gamers, instead they will feed your videos to ASMR viewers. Do you want to know WHY? Because they want to help my channel grow it’s influence outside  of my Niche. Why the hell would an ASMR fetishist want to watch me play Deadspace?
This is WHY all youtubers for the past year have been showing you their graphs stating “Hey, out of 50k subs only 6% of my views come from subscribers” it’s because unless ALL your subs have notifications turned on, they will not get notified…

I digress, my issue right now is that Youtube kills my videos if they get too many views. I have noticed this week ALL my shorts get pulled after 300 views, then the next day they start suggesting them again, and as this picture shows, the next day it STILL does well, so they just shoot it in the head & stop suggesting it altogether.
BRO! I work hard on everything I do, people like what they see, but I cannot grow if people think the channel is  not interesting based on suppressed discoverability.
This week was my biggest growth, almost 30 new subs in 4 days. Now I’m back to Zero discoverability.
What hurts the most is that I have reached out to bigger channels that know who I am, to do collabs with them, but who is going to want to collab with a guy that has less than 2k subs with low view counts. I understand their logic, but their perception of my channel is not the reality of my channel.
So, I strongly recommend that if you are a small or starting Youtuber, learn to understand the algorithm & maybe don’t make non liberal political videos because the Blue haired weirdos run YT & they will Punish you for it.
    What do you guys think?
My channel is GiggaVega on youtube.

YouTube is censorious garbage.  The only channels that flourish are the ones they give the nod to in my opinion.

If I were you I would work on Rumble as well.  Allow YT to help drive a Rumble channel.  Styx does this pretty well and it seems to work out for him.

But I am not a streamer just an observer of what has been going on.

Bro, I have Rumble & Odyssey as well as Gab & Gettr, none of them get views. I am not a political channel & I am not right wing, the only people that flourish in those places are those types of accounts. I have seen big YT channels that do movie reviews like Space Ice & he doesn’t even get views. But a political channel will get them. I Absolutely HATE politics & politicians with a burning passion. I stopped the political videos because too many right wingers were coming in & I do not agree with many things they believe  in, just like the Left but less violent.
YT has a problem & the problem is that too many people want to get paid & too many of them are getting paid so they need to figure out a way to balance. People purchase their growth, just like they used to purchase their Blue account at 15k$
There are countless sites offering views & subscribers & likes & comments at cheap prices & the YT algorithm is overloaded with fake engagement that it now just allows it as embedded posts. (I hope I said the right term)
I saw a channel that just opened up, 4 weeks ago. Doing YT Growth Tips & he has 10k subs. I can tell it was fake because I recognized the Fiverr bots because I used Fiverr for 15-20 of my videos (1 was on Lil Wayne). If you see a bunch of generic “Great Video bro!” “So inspiring” “I don’t do these things but your video is still relevant to my needs” “Keep going” “You got this” “Wow I love your message” these are ALL comments that are paid for.
Then there is YT Google Adsense that is crocked as hell & pure robbery.
I’ve made  a bunch of YT content creators that are legitimate about what they do & they ALL struggle the way I mentioned in my original post.
Since bigger channels aren’t interested in collabs, I’ve looked into Syndicating services that advertise your channel like a tv show & seek out people to watch your videos but man, those things are expensive as hell. Basic service is like 4k per month for 4 videos & they offer services like editing to make your video look better.
I found another place that worked on a much smaller scale & they charged fixed amount of viewers that 80% turned into regular or returning viewers. They provided all communications history between them & the viewers they recruited but it is also expensive for less than 100 viewers.
Unfortunately Youtube is a business if you want to succeed. You can’t just upload & share to your Socials, you have to get promoted to others.
All these  young Money Youtubers are all frauds. Spencer Cornelia did a great expose on them.
I’m going to keep on going though because I would rather Struggle & fail at my own dreams than struggle & fail in somebody else’s Nightmare.

I think YT’s issue is their “rules”.  You are not going to defeat those.  Sure, Rumble etc are not as popular but if no one works at it they never will be.  I mean if you want change you have to be apart of that change as I see it in one fashion or another.  Although I disagree about Rumble, I see lots of non-political stuff on there. But I do agree with you it probably leans in that direction.

Everyone (that is all the companies) are more than concerned about a certain little case “Gonzalez v. Google” which has major ramification of section 230. Best thing you can do is just sit back and wait till SCOTUS comes out.

If Scotus rules they are acting as Publishers in their manipulations and censorship and says they are indeed liable, well Katey bar the door shit is going to get real. By real the lawsuits will be coming in in droves…

Section 230’s intent was admirable in its time, but overly protective to the point it allows unfair business practice and bias. It should be stripped down to say something along these lines.

Internet service providers are exempt from lawsuits for content by people using their service. They should be required to clearly state a Terms of Service that is Binding so long as your account is paid and on free services so long as it breaks no laws of the Nation to which the content creator is based. If they Manipulate an algorithm, censor, edit, delete content they become a Publisher and are liable for damages.  Basically, unless it breaks the law or a clear defined TOS by a service provider they can do nothing except provide the service.
