I know Trump gets all the headlines but I have been listening and watching Vivek.  He is the only presidential candidate I can recall since Regan that actually speaks his mind and does not play the political it’s an answer but not an answer game.  Not only that he has ACTUAL plans and not platitudes and he has one for bringing back the American spirit which is a core issue as I see.  That being we are living in a very divided culture, he wants to highlight the good things about America and get everyone on that bandwagon.

I don’t think Trump will be allowed to run but if he is I would be fine with Trump/Vivek.  And if the stop Trump from running it would be a god tier play for Vivek to name Trump his VP.

8 yrs of Vivek has the potential to actually start the ship tunning.

I saw this yesterday.  I disagree with this woman’s beliefs as she states them, BUT, to her credit she stayed and listened.  And look how Vivek addresses her.  When’s the last time you saw a politician do something like this?

The video says she is a “protestor”.  I think she was there just to have a beer and listen to Vivek and just happened to disagree.

Vivek isn’t perfect but he provides great examples of how to interact with “hostile” people.

He’s intelligent, consistent and  usually remains, calm and articulate under pressure. There have been a few times when he’s lost his cool (the Van Jones situation and Abby Phillip interview come to mind) but one can argue an escalation was warranted in those situations; sometimes people just need to be put in their place. Even so, he came across as assertive, not aggressive or vindictive.

If Trump is barred from running, I hope he gets the nod.

Well no one is perfect so that goes without saying.

As you mention Vivek is clearly skilled with people.  I think a HUGE part of that is he is not running away from his answers like a normal politician.  So when people ask him things (trap or not) he just tells them what he thinks and backs that up with some level of vision and plan.  He seems to get highly bothered by people who attack.  But who doesn’t?  I would be more concerned if he didn’t do that.  He has been on so many hostile shows and they ask, he answers.  So they have to get stupid to try to make him seem a negative.

But I think the BIG takeaway here is that it is possible for people who seem to be on opposing sides to find common ground and as demonstrated here it just takes some amount of listening.  Notice the gay lady was angry, but she did not yell or get silly, she stood and listened while he spoke.  I don’t at all agree with what that lady was initially saying but absolute kudos to her for simply just listening.
