Applebee’s Giving Away Indiana Jones Tickets

Applebee’s is running a promotion for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Specifically, if you spend at least $35 on food there, you can get a free ticket to the movie through Fandango. If you spend $70, you can get two tickets. Check it out, splayed out on the main page of the Applebee’s website: 

This is only a big deal because it’s one way Disney and other studios can pad out the ticket sales numbers. This movie looks bad and isn’t expected to do well, so it’s easy to see Lucasfilm and Applebee’s teaming up like this to artificially boost sales on both ends. I just find it funny and a little bit sad, personally.
