Lizzo Sued For Sexual Harassment

Singer Lizzo is being sued by three of her former backup performers for sexual harassment, assault, and other charges. They also state she created a hostile work environment.

“‘As the headlining act of “The Special Tour” it was clear that Lizzo was the ultimate decision-making authority and supervisor of Plaintiffs,’ the filing states. ‘Additionally, as dance cast captain, Ms. Quigley also held a supervisory role within the production,’ it adds. ‘At no point did anyone from BGBT management nor Lizzo’s step in to put an end to this inappropriate behavior. Accordingly, Defendants are strictly liable for Lizzo’s and Ms. Quigley’s harassing behavior.’
‘As a proximate result of Defendants’ conduct, Plaintiffs also suffered severe emotional distress, anxiety, pain and suffering, physical injuries, physical sickness, medical expenses, future medical expenses, attorneys’ fees, and other damages to be determined at trial according to proof,’ says the suit from Ronald Zambrano of L.A.-based West Coast Employment Lawyers.”
This is really bizarre, especially if you read into the specific inappropriate acts they allege Lizzo did or made them do. I don’t understand why someone would do this, but I also can’t imagine how these performers would dream up such weird charges if they were untrue. I hope the truth comes out and whoever is in the wrong is held accountable. I don’t like Lizzo’s music, and I don’t know much about her, but it’s never okay to abuse workers or to lie about people (whichever is happening here).

Some performances I’ve see are entirely sexual harassment in itself. Miley Cyrus is vulgar and vile. Christina Aguilera, Lil Nas X, there are a bunch of them where the performance itself is sexual harassment. About 90% of concerts I’ve seen were fine and cool, but I recall once being ambushed by a performance that was totally disgusting. The major artists are now doing it, but years ago, the headliner would use the opener, so the opening act would do some kind of perversion. I know nothing of the Lizzo situation, but Alex Jones said that Joy Behar is a groper behind the scenes.
