Super Nintendo World to Open in 2023

Mark your calendars! Universal Studios Hollywood dropped the motherload of announcements today: the long-awaited Super Nintendo World will be opening its doors in 2023!
Universal Hollywood will be the location of the first Nintendo World park in the United States, and if it’s anything like the park in Universal Studios Japan, it’s going to take the American theme parks to a whole new level. Universal Studios here in the States has been dominating the last couple of years as more and more people start to turn away from Disney, and with the opening of Super Nintendo World, they may just finally claim the throne as Theme Park Champion.
Super Nintendo World transports theme park guests into the world of Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach. It’s extremely immersive and described as a “visual spectacle of vibrant colors and architectural ingenuity located within a newly-expanded area of the theme park.” There’s going to be themed dining and shopping and, of course, rides based on Mario’s world. The area will be located in the lower section of the park near the Transformers ride.
To mark the occasion, Universal Hollywood will be transforming their popular FEATURE PRESENTATION store into a Super Nintendo World-themed shop, opening soon. Located just inside the theme park’s main entrance, guests will have a chance to gear up with merchandise such as Mario and Luigi-themed apparel, plushies, character hats, and more.
