You seem a little worked up. Feeling all right?
I understand if you’re feeling a bit bothered over some… recent discussions, but don’t worry about it, too much. Shit-flinging contests on the Internet are nothing new, they’ve been going for years well before SJW’s were even a thing. I should know. :P
But I do agree with general sentiment, Mustang and Hawkeye are a great hero and heroine pair and complement one another very well. There’s a reason they’re so popular with the shipping community, and not just because they’re basically semi-canon anyway and clearly care about each other. Guys like myself love Hawkeye because despite her otherwise stoic, fierce nature, she still has her feminine charm and nurturing side towards the people she loves. And I doubt need to explain why Roy is popular with the ladies. XD
It’s hardly just them, either, mind you. A number of anime portray the genders as equal but different, while also being unafraid to allow the men and women to embrace their inherent masculine and feminine characteristics (i.e. the Straw Hats of One Piece, Soul and Maka of Soul Eater). There are many reasons why anime has grown popular in the West, but this might be one of the reasons why: The relationship between the two sexes is often portrayed as genuine and realistic, and how we’re meant to be working together rather than competing against each other. Life is about men and women coming together and overcoming their differences while keeping each other in check. We’ve basically forgotten that here in the West and I find that very tragic (and the problem seems especially pronounced in America). I think we’re basically starved for it.
Well Anime these days are only thing that dont have agenda. Japan dont give a excuse for words an shit about western pc culture their songs and shows are still at good quality not mentioning their artists. ok ,question who has heard song called himitsu performed by some amazing guyz called sumika. pass these years japan keeps things simple and beautiful as also this anime Kimi no suizou wo tabetai ( 君の膵臓をたべたい) ,most touching anime movie i have seen in years,pure human story.
There are so many anime songs and japanese bands i could talk for hours.
