To answer your question, might be because we are going through another sexual revolution right now. Kind of like I would imagine people talked a lot about black people during the ending of slavery. Why are conservatives so obsessed with yapping about ”wokeness”?
In my case I brought it up because Crowder is a conman who twists political topics, and I made a half serious claim about him even being untruthful about his personal life like his sexuality because when you combine recent allegations with his acts or what he has said in the past, and compare it to his views about gay people, he seems like the cliché character who bullies gay people because of his own insecurity about his own sexual identity.
