$500? Holy hell. These people are insane. However it does speak to the popularity of the comic.

So clearly Rippa has created a hook here. I pray (because I have not read it yet) that the story is so good it sets the hook and creates a huge fanbase.

I admire what Rippa has done. I mean the man has created a comic company where one did not exist before. That takes a lot of time, effort and money. I wish his all the success in the world.

Speculators have ruined the comic book collector/reader industry.

And that is before they decide to put the comic into a certified/numbered/graded SLAB where the comic is no longer readable – but where you can enjoy seeing the cover art behind a sealed plastic container.

I think scalpers are a stain on humanity, as bad as lawyers are. They ruined this last gen of consoles release and availability. They have ruined me getting quite a few things. I get SICK of something releasing only to be sold out a few hrs later.

My copy of Isom with Yaira poster arrived yesterday. I’ll be reading it in the next few days.

Totally agree. I miss out on figures constantly because I’m working only to come home and see those figures on ebay the next day for triple the price. Heck, that MvC2 cabinet sold out before I even got to open the email. The thing I don’t get is the people buying Isom for this price lol. When I lose out on a figure they release and have a very finite supply, Eric had his campaign open for MONTHS. Those covers didn’t sell out for weeks lol. So I don’t get what took these buyers so long.
