@Roccandil there definitely is movement on boycotting the energy from Russia, even Germany chose to take an economic setback from it but it was worth it. Europe and the US are united to end this madness.

With Putin being cornered now, he started his threats with nukes now. Putin ordered the nuclear units to prepare and get in high alert mode. I hope and believe it’s a bluff but you always gotta prepare for the worst. Now they even dragged the US to the threats, claiming they could easily destroy the whole US if they wanted.

Here’s a quote from their TV channel:

International Cat Federation bans Russian felines from competitions

Well boys, Putin has been stopped

The International Cat Federation has banned Russian cats from international competitions, condemning the invasion of Ukraine as an “unprecedented act of aggression.”

Fédération Internationale Féline (FIFe), a group which considers itself “the United Nations of Cat Federations” with members from over 40 counties, said in a statement on its website that “it cannot just witness these atrocities and do nothing.”

Starting this week, no cat bred in Russia can be imported or registered in any FIFe pedigree book outside Russia and no cat belonging to exhibitors living in Russia may be entered at any FIFe show outside of the country.

The group said the new regulations will last though May 31 and “will be reviewed as and when necessary.”

This shit is so stupid. Like, Putin isn’t gonna stop invading Ukraine because you banned Russian cats from your “federation”. It’s all just virtue signaling

DISNEY+ TOOK DOWN ANASTASIA OFF ITS STREAMS!!! HOW WILL PUTIN RECOVER?!

    #258827

    @TowLiquor

As one who liked ‘Anastasia’,  I ask how is any of this going to help things by removing anything Russian related from entertainment? As I said before, this is getting way out of hand.

@DragonLady it’s the big picture which starts from grassroot level actions. If every individual, every household, every company, every country pull out from every connection to Russia then they are going to be completely isolated, with the hope of squeezing the ballsacks of the oligarchs and elites running the country to force them to take action towards this madness.

You’re gonna see in the near future some very minor things like cereal brands pulling out to boycott Russia and ofc these individual actions are not gonna have impact but having the strict policy to step away in wvery way from Russia, suddenly they’ll find themselves in some deep shit.

I wondered whether to interject because I find this entire conversation tedious, but I would recommend people give this watch if they want to better understand why Russia have done this: It gives important context in regards to the complicated geopolitics that led up to this situation and why the West isn’t as blameless as the MSM wants you to think:

    #259120

@SuperSoynic_Speed It’s one thing to stop doing business in Russia. It’s another thing to remove a movie set in Russia from a streaming service in America. That doesn’t make sense to me

    #259139

Waiting how things play out. Now, they are banning race car drivers. Anastasia was mentioned. Just read the plot and it’s about a Russian with Rasputin as villian and the protagonist is reunited with family at the Paris Opera House. Let them ban Anastasia, for Russian ballet is the best in the world. For the world to take it out on the Bolshoi Ballet is foolish and a very bad look. It looks weak like they have to pick on children ballerinas from a people who still actually have a culture and are not “couch larvae” who get their entire worldview from TV. The elites and oligarchs are in the EU and NATO and UN and not in Russia. Do not kid yourself. It is easy to spot the snake. It’s Zelensky. The shyster is flat out vulgar.

Is this behavior against human beings who happen to be from Russia worse than McCarthyism?

Rudolf Nureyev and Mikhail Baryshnikov in this era would be put on trial and demanded to renounce and denounce. One must wonder if westerners have been inculcated into their own form of communism and do not even realize it yet.

As if the Russians need western media. They can actually perform.

    #259175

@DragonLady it’s just utter virtue signaling, #imhelping.jpeg bullshit. The TVs and companies say Russia bad so everyone follows suit. This political/warfare game is above us squabbling on the internet; nothing is black and white. For example, SuperSoy has shared that Trump called Putin “genius” and “savvy.” The REST of that was Trump explaining because Putin would have never done that with him in office. Whatever, I’m going back to my video games and comic books.

For example, SuperSoy has shared that Trump called Putin “genius” and “savvy.” The REST of that was Trump explaining because Putin would have never done that with him in office.

And Russia used these words from Trump to spread their propaganda by claiming they got the approval from the former president of America.

    #259263

Cool. But Trump was saying it was smart to invade since he wasnt in office and that there would be consequences if so. That’s the rest of the quote that you’re ignoring. Dont pick and choose the parts of quotes you like, use them all so context is correct.

    #259294

But do you think Russia gives a damn? They use Trump’s words to convince their people they are right

Putin lays out terms for ending war

According to the Kremlin, Putin laid out terms for ending the war. For ending hostilities, Moscow has demanded that:

    • Ukraine drop its bid to join NATO and adopt a neutral status.
    • Acknowledge the Russian sovereignty over Crimea, which it annexed from Ukraine in 2014.
    • Recognize the independence of separatist regions in the country’s east.
    • Agree to demilitarize.

That is old news and already dismissed.

Like anyone believes Putin would pull-out or stop. He knows as well as the world NOTHING he offers is acceptable as he invaded a peaceful country without provocation and any terms he offers is at the point of a sword which no Nation or Court would Honor under those terms…. Make no mistake, he will raise the Ukraine to the ground and annex its smoldering ashes, rather than see them join Nato.

I suggest all other countries who thought he would not act like this hurry up and join Nato now, before it is to late.

      #259766

… he invaded a peaceful country without provocation…

And so you dismiss outright the claims that those two eastern regions with majority Russians have been at constant war/shelling from Ukraine for over eight years as NOT provocation?

This is the west’s media/WH misinformation campaign.

Peace broken in Europe since end of WWII, as some of those same media outlets claim (which are FALSE, BTW).  And most lemmings just accept this LIE without a second thought.

The truth is out there as to the REAL reasons, but no one seems to care nor wants to investigate.  As it would ruin their false narratives/agenda.

I want the TRUTH, so that real SOLUTIONS can be had.  And lasting PEACE can be made.

At the same time, the US invaded/attacked how many countries with less “provocations”?

Should the world have not condemned/extreme sanctions on the US for Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Panama, etc., all without “provocation”?

How many nations did the US force change on, at the “point of a sword”?  MANY!  So where is the outrage?

OH, but it was the US doing it.

If I change the name of WHO is the aggressor, should not the outrage be the same?  Should not the other nations/courts react the same?

What if the reports (which the lying west media have “debunked/claims are false” – where have we heard THAT lie before?) of biolabs (as if Wuhan was the only one doing illegal research)?  The plus-Eight years of hostilities?  Of all the hunter/big guy payoffs?  Corrupt politicians/district attorneys/quid pro quo/etc.
