I think it is a simple calculus. One premise of wokeism is that all white people are racist, so if there is a thing white people primarily participate in, then it is racist. And if that area is predominantly white men. . . Well, then you get to throw in the sexist label as well. And it only flows one way. Space that are predominantly of another race aren’t racist. Or if it is predominantly women (Unless it is white women, and it is useful as a cudgel for the woke). And if you try to say there is a double-standard, then they bring in the idea that it isn’t the same because white people hold power. It is all based on an ideology that assumes people of all different kinds only function as a group identity (We’ve already dealt with a the whole history of the world thinking that way, and we already know it leads to horrible things.).
(I think that some people would say that this is just a troll on the part of the writers, but I know people who actually think this way. Really nice people, in fact. And I think the only way to convince these people is to out-compassion the wokies. Use whatever premise they have to undermine their own argument and get them to see how uncompassionate and horrible it is. I’ve literally run into people who have no issue with calling little white kids inherently racist and try to go out of there way to correct other people about wrongthink, and they do it in a really condescending, schoolmarmish way)
