Women in gaming; is it really a good idea?

Women, even more so than men, need to be thoroughly vetted.

Why should they be more than males? Is it okay to let in some radical feminist men only because they are men? I think we as a society should get rid of creating quotas based on gender, race, social class etc and just hire whoever is best suited for the role. Therefore, every single one should be vetted as thoroughly.

My follow up question, what about females starting their own video game developing company. In the worst case, they are batshit crazy feminist and only wanna make games about preaching about an agenda. Is there someone who should stop them? Or are they free to start their own company? If your answer is that they should be monitored and limited then you can’t say you support equal opportunity

Well.. They may not have been at the “for front” but there has always been women in gaming. Go look at any old photo’s from the 8bit nintendo day’s you will definitely see women in there along with the men coding ect. That being said I see a good amount of women in the development of Doom 2016 & Doom Eternal and those game’s are fire. There not all woke plus there are plenty of beta cuck males to go along with the woke females developing games out there. I’m just thinking how they trashed wolfenstein 2.. So sad concidering the graphics & game play of wolfenstein 2 are killer but the story is beyond cringe af. Another franchise ruined. But I can see where this topic would come up because it seems like whenever someone gives a woman full control over something be it game or movie. They always seem to be pushing an agenda of some kind.

Agreed, and then you will find that dramatically more men are hired than women, because women in general just don’t get it. There are rare exceptions, but that is all.

then let it happen naturally. Let the developers choose who they see fits the best. If/when they choose more males based on their merits, so be it and it’s fair. But trying to put regulations to purposefully limit women from entering the competition is just traight up wrong and takes away their freedom to choose where to compete for a spot. It’s an insane idea and a step back in progressing the society in my opinion.

Of course they can start their own companies, but given the fact that most of the gamers who keep the industry afloat are men, I could see them going out of business real fast, because men aren’t going to find their games appealing.

here you finally get my point and agree with it. Don’t set any limitations for women, let them try if they want. If their project fais, it fails. But let’s say if they manage to create a ”super woke” game that actually blows up and becomes successful, so be it. Just screw the regulations and quotas, that’s just the same identity politics starbucks did when they only had a certain amount of male workers allowed.

The problem is not women.  The issue is radical feminists.

it’s exactly like @Vknid says. With the same logic about regulations, why don’t we limit the number of males in schools because they have a way higher chance of being school shooters. That’s just dumb dumb.

This has probably been said already, but there is no reason women can’t be developers. There are plenty of opportunities to make games for a female audience. There are already games out there like Boyfriend Dungeon that got great reviews and seem to be catered to women. (I have not played it so I can’t say for sure) I can’t speak to whether or not there would be more “woke” games made because it seems like companies are doing it no matter who is in charge. But, I who knows there could be a successful female only company that makes games for only catered to women. ( also don’t keep up enough so there may already be one..)
