ABC’s Beauty and the Beast Live Completes Casting

A.B.C.’s live presentation of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast has added Shania Twain, Martin Short, and David Alan Grier to its cast. Short will play Lumiere the candelabra, with Grier as Cogsworth, and Shania Twain will take over Angela Lansbury’s famous role as Mrs. Potts. H.E.R. and Josh Groban will portray Belle and the Beast.

I don’t know much about the other two, but Martin Short is an excellent choice for Lumiere. I don’t know what to expect from this live show; I thought The Little Mermaid Live was done very well. But anything from Disney is a crapshoot these days, and they’ve already messed up Beauty and the Beast in live-action once.
