@Hazu Gotham Knights isn’t part of the Arkham series. Though it is similar. Suicide Squad will be. But after Batgirl joined Antifa, DC can fuck right off with their pretentious shit. I won’t be touching it.

One thing to know about me is once your on my shit list… It’s VERY hard to get off of it.

Played ESO’s Greymoor expansion from last year.

They did it. They actually made “Skyrim 2” and sold it to us through an MMO. The absolute madmen.

Jokes aside, it’s largely okay: Compared to ESV the atmosphere is much more gloomy and oppressive; the scenery is familiar but there’s this very gothic tone that makes it clear that they’re not simply mimicking the 2011 game. It isn’t just “less dragons and more vampires lol.”

By far the biggest feature is expanding the Blackreach caverns: A lot more of Skyrim’s underworld is revealed than what was shown in the single-player game and builds a bit more on its history while keeping the mystery intact.

“Be on your guard. There are older and fouler things than Orcs in the dark places of the world…”
Tamriel Orcs: “Hey, man. That’s pretty racist. #NotAllOrcs”

      Awesome. :)

As a hardcore gamer, I get quite anxious watching this kind of videos haha And I just hope and wish i’m still in this world to witness and enjoy the tremendous evolution of videogaming in the near future. No graphics limitations (and no censorship please lol).

Although I already feel quite privileged to be able to play current games. We’ve came a long way… since tetris, old school sonic and mario… and now this. It’s amazing.

Orcs in most fantasy: A brutal race of semi-intelligent, flesh-eating monsters.

Orcs in the Elder Scrolls main series: Civilized, even cultured, but still ugly and brutish. They’re called “the pig children” for a reason.

      Orcs in Elder Scrolls Online:

      … Would.

So… anyone here going to play Elden Ring? xD

I already wasted money on games last month, I can’t buy another new game just now (expensive af for ps5), but my hand is trembling every time i see those ratings and videos of Elden Ring… it looks absolutely breathtaking.

Elden Ring looks cool. Pity it is a Soulsverse game and far too hard for my tastes to ever want to put up with. I’d have loved to play many of those games, but the difficulty is a huge turn off. Not my thing.

Currently playing Cyberpunk 2077 on PS5 with the next gen update. I started over from scratch after having played it on PS4 Pro, trophies don’t carry over. It is WAYYY better now, I am actually enjoying it now. Not a single crash or glitch so far. It looks WAY better too.

I got Horizon Forbidden West (Regalia edition) PS5, but the game needs some fixing before I’ll play more. I played for 10 min and already had a glitch. So, I’ll wait until things are ironed out more. A little disappointed it’s not running better even after the delay. I was really looking forward to this game. Ohh well. The Regalia edition is disappointing as well. The statue broke right out of the box and is a bit ridiculous to put together frankly. After paying 270 bucks for a broken statue and glitchy game. I am not very happy right now. I should have just got the Collectors edition without the statue, I really don’t want it put up anywhere. It’s ugly frankly. I wanted Aloy (like they did with the first game) In fact, I am pretty much done buying games at launch at this point. Been burned enough times now over the years.

I really have no games I am looking forward to now. Stray, yes the game about Cats. It looked interesting. Maybe Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga. Suicide Squad maybe, but I don’t like the Harley Quinn design. Gotham Knights looks cool, but it may be WOKE and I am NOT interested in that.  Forspoken looks interesting, but also looks WOKE as hell. Chernoblite is coming to PS5.

Been thinking of finally getting a Nintendo console, the new Switch LED. I quit Nintendo when the Gamecube died because I had no interest in Wii or Wii U gimmick motion sensing crap with convoluted controllers. Frankly, the only Nintendo game I care to buy is Zelda and Metroid, so i’l have some catching up to do as I have no played Zelda since Wind Waker. But, the main reason I want a Switch is to get Japanese games UNCENSORED!!! They censor them on PS5, so I wont buy them.

In closing, I spend a lot of time playing Genshin Impact these days. Once I got a PS5 I was able to enjoy the game more than I tried to on PS4 Pro. I am no top tier hard mode player, I just enjoy the imagery and design. I have a lot unlocked and a few LVL 80 characters now. But, I also play on WL4 and refuse to do the next Ascension Quest because it forces the game to be harder, and I DONT want that. I really don’t like the forced difficulty in the game.

I lost count of how many times I started playing Bloodborne and then deleted it lol I’m not a souls gamer, but Elden Ring is kinda pulling me in… maybe I will have a try in a couple of months.

These days I’m playing Farm Simulator, Skyrim and Cyberpunk (starting another story)

          @Hazu

I got Demon Souls way back in the PS3 days. After dying over and over, I went online to figure out how to get passed the first level without dying 90000 times. I finally got through and beat that first boss. I took the game out and never touched it again, and didn’t want to. I personally don’t understand wanting to go through that stress and headache in a game. Sure, a little challenge, but the Soulsbourne games are imo flat out ridiculous. It’s a huge turn off for me. I just don’t get it. I work 10 hr shifts for a week straight. You think I want to put up with that nonsense in a game in my time off? Nope!! I play games to relax and escape. Not want to punch a hole through the wall. I also don’t like the attitude and elitism from some people who like the games. Insulting people who simply want to have an easy mode to enjoy the atmosphere and story. I see nothing wrong with wanting that. I don’t like ego’s, and I am NOT competitive, so I guess that is part of it for me.

Got a new PC recently decked out with some of the latest hardware specs, installed Skyrim SE and spent the past few weeks just modding the hell out of it and testing to make sure everything works properly. After installing 300+ mods and not suffering a drop in performance, I think I’m finally ready to give this beast a whirl.

Decided to give Legacy of the Dragonborn a shot for this next playthrough. It seems pretty dope and a good way to celebrate the game’s tenth anniversary proper.

Also went for a lore-friendly custom race mod and created a Snow Elf character:

          aurielle

Now you might say her breasts appear too big but I’d say you’re wrong.

          @DarthVengeant

          Yeah, I completely understand that.
I’m also busy af every day, sometimes even work during the weekend, arrive home at 7pm… and I try to get 1h for gaming daily, and I have a huge backlog, i still have Skyrim to finish (lol) and many others.
Some games I play with normal difficulty, some other games, if I’m not enjoying them too much, I just change to easy mode so I can finish them asap and move to a new game.

But about the Soul Games… I think having an easy mode would totally destroy their identity. It’s like Batman suddenly having superpowers just so he can defeat enemies more easily. Soul Games are known because of their difficulty. You can try to play them, or you can just enjoy watching other people trying to finish them. And that just works perfectly.
If anytime soon Soul Games put an easy mode (aka gaming “journalist” mode), it’s gonna be their destruction.

In my opinion, it’s bad when someone or a “mob” tries to force something to change just so they can have a moral win and move on to the next destructive objective.

For example, I enjoyed playing Sims back in the day, and I wish the game Sims right now would have more adult stuff, more mature themes. For me, it’s unplayable right now because it’s just too childish. But I can’t go cry to the devs about it… because it is what it is, Sims is a game for teenagers, it’s not a game for a 30-year-old dude.  So I just don’t play it anymore. I let my nephew play it. That’s it.
People crying about Soul Games being too difficult should just enjoy other games… imo.

Meanwhile, I installed Bloodborne again lol maybe I’m Masochist xD  If I can play it through, then I will buy Elden Ring. haha

          Cheers

So I kept forgetting to mention towards the end of last year I managed to thoroughly clear the base game of ESO on PC with a single character. Took over three years of playing on and off (I wasn’t in any great rush), but I finally did it. Hundreds of hours spent clearing every PvE zone of quests, dungeons and bosses. It’s been quite a journey.

What the overworld map looks like with all vanilla zones explored:

          tamriel

Now there’s all the “DLC” to complete. Again, not in any great rush. Since 2017, ZeniMax have been non-stop putting out additional content to the point there’s now almost as much as the base game. It’s a little mad but at least there’s no running out of things to do any time soon. Already did the Imperial City and working my way through Orsinium/Wrothgar.

Culmination achievements finally unlocked after working towards them since 2019:

          skyshards

          delves

          adventurer

          journal

          #265659

Also cleared Cyrodiil PvE content whenever I could over that time period as well:

          cyrodiil_pvp

Cyrodiil in ESO is primarily a gigantic PvP zone with some hybrid PvE content to do on the side when or if you’re not grouped with other players. It makes for an interesting change of pace as you can potentially get ganked by an enemy player at any given moment while you’re in the middle of questing/exploring. It certainly incentivizes seriously buffing your character if you ever dare to venture out solo. It was definitely its own unique challenge, but I’m not sure if I’d do it again lol.
