    Plenty of reasons, most of the good characters haven’t even shown up yet.

    Now that we have have several streaming shows, and some movies, was “End Game” the end to the MCU to you?

    Will these Phase 5, 6, 7…. live up to the previous highs?

    Sadly, it looks like it has gone down, and down fast, IMO.

    Spider-man is still coming out and that is a go to character, but what really stands out is just how weak the writing is at Marvel, or at least they make it appear that way. It seems like all they are capable of is telling origin stories over and over again every generation or every twenty years. It’s like they are afraid to venture out into other stories that are not simple and basic and spoon fed to the public. This is why, even though I am not a DC guy, I think Batman is probably the best hero because there is so much more writing to work with than with other characters. Man of Steel was just Superman all over again. They say that a writer introduces new characters when a writer runs out of ideas. To see so many origin stories leaves comic readers scratching their heads as to why they don’t just tell a different story. Also, another thing about Batman is The Rogues. Batman has such a long list of foes and villains whereas other heroes might just have one or two. Those villain characters are needed.

    The Best rogues gallery for DC is hands down Batman, while in Marvel it is Spider-Man.

    And before the MCU, I would not have been able to list a villain to the Avengers, Iron Man.

    I knew of Captain America and Red Skull.

    I knew The Hulk and Abomination (and General Ross).

    I also knew Fantastic Four’s Dr.Doom.

    I also knew of X-Men’s Magneto.

    I also knew of Dare Devil’s Kingpin.

    But a rogue’s gallery for any of them?  Not a chance!

    I am only excited to see fantastic four, but kinda have no hope about the movie, since MCU went woke.

    I was watching ‘X2’ again tonight and am once again reminded on why I liked the X-Men in the first place. I had been attracted to them because I found it very unusual that despite them being heroes, they were hated and feared. I have zero confidence in Disney doing the X-Men right (good luck with them trying to recreate something like that awesome Nightcrawler opening sequence😍 or the scene with Mystique sticking a finger up when she’s sliding underneath the door😂). As for the F4…I sort of have a bit of confidence but again, not much.

    I’m guessing that the only reason why they bought FOX in the first place- aside from shutting up the fanboys that were egging them on into buying it because of the X-Men and F4- was because they didn’t like the fact that FOX’s X-Men films were doing better than their Avengers films were doing at the time of purchase!

    Regarding X2, the timing is unfortunate. Before the MCU even launched, Hugh Jackman carried the superhero thing on his back. The contributions of Hugh Jackman are very underrated. He did a fantastic job as Wolverine for so long. I don’t think comic fans have shown him the gratitude. Jackman really did kind of start the trend and bring it to the fore, at least in terms of Marvel. It is odd how Batman and other DC titles were going long before the MCU, but Hugh Jackman as Wolverine really helped build momentum to get the MCU going. Granted, Patrick Stewart, too, but Wolverine even had his own solo movies that were well done.

    Don’t forget about Ian McKellen as Magneto too. I wish they’d given him his own solo or origins film🙁.

    No One Asked For This | Marvel Keeps Pushing Characters That Fans Hate (Ironheart)

    Ryan Kinel – RK Outpost

    Kevin Feige has announced that Riri Williams (Ironheart) will appear in Black Panther 2, yet another character that absolutley no one wants in the MCU.

    @comicsgate

    I agree with everything that Ryan says on that vid especially about why not even I was interested in the Black Panther film either (I’m not sure what the driving laws are in the US but I wish he’d keep his hands on the wheel😳. Also, Google Lady interrupting him was hilarious🤣). No-one wants these characters on the screen despite what Disney and Twitter might say otherwise! If they’ve chosen someone to race and gender swap a character because they’re good enough for the role fair enough but sadly, this is getting way out of control! Poor Chadwick must be spinning in his grave at what they’re doing with Black Panther 2.

    I was not a fan of Black Panther either, but it was very successful. When you have success going to a well, you keep going to a well until it is dry, but what does Marvel do? Like Ryan says, replaces a successful character with one that nobody wants. Every decision matters. To an objective person, it looks like industry in the USA is simply being sabotaged. It looks intentional.

    What If Marvel Wasn’t a DISASTER?
    Marvel’s What If..? Season 1 Episode 2 Review | What If T’Challa Became a Star-Lord? In a Marvel Cinematic Universe of infinite possibilities Marvel has decided to ignore them for the most part and do what they are doing in the ‘regular’ MCU. Race and gender swap everyone. First it was what If Peggy Carter was a better Captain America and now it’s What If T’Challa was a better Star lord. More boring subtle and not so subtle deconstruction.

    Going Woke Backfired On Marvel Comics…DC & MCU Are Next
    Thinking Critical

    What was your favorite Portman movie? I did not like her in Star Wars nor Thor. What was she good in, in your opinion?

    #239271

    @comicsgate

    I liked her on ‘Attack of the Clones’ but I nearly got put off her on ‘Revenge of the Sith’ because she spent the entire film crying but I guess Padme had every right to considering what she was going through on that film. Portman wouldn’t have been my first choice for a Lady Thor though.

    Thanks for answering. Maybe too late, but one thing X-Men could do in MCU is jump right into Hickman Story lines. Might be interesting.
