With WandaVision half way done, it’s time to also start talking about The Falcon and The Winter Soldier 🦅❄ Which looking at the release date, it seems it’ll come to our screens only 2 weeks after WandaVision 🤩 And i’m happy to see there don’t seem to be any cringe SJW monents in the trailer, and it also looks like Sam and Bucky’ll have the same dynamic they had in Civil War, which is guaranteed to make this show hilarious 🤣

Remember, MCU time travel is Dragonball Z rules. Every time something changes, a new timeline is created, ie. alternate reality. So the Peggy Cap is dancing with at the end of Endgame is not the Peggy that we saw in First Avenger, Winter Soldier, and that died in Civil War.
I don’t like Dragonball Z time travel rules.

That’s asking alot, since I believe all signs point to this being all about race and how people can’t “accept” a black Captain America.

@Roas I haven’t seen any signs of that tbh. It’s most likely gonna be about the burden that no one can fill Cap’s shoes so Bucky and Falcon are going to try to fill the boots together. My only problem is how they fucked up Bucky. He is basically Captain America with a vibranium arm = he should be stronger but they seem to have forgotten that and now he’s just a weak dude with a gun. The dude should be way stronger

I’ve heard some woke shit about it being about “people being racist to black Captain America!” in some articles, but so far the trailers don’t show anything close to that, instead they point to a story about Sam and Bucky’s journey as heroes, friends, and rivals

People should stop believing in every rumour tbh, like if anything the trailers seem to portray a very over the top patriotic feeling (which I have nothing against obviously). People have been crying about MsheU and woke phase 4 but tbh I don’t see it (at least yet). The only thing I can see as potentially ”woke” is Ms Marvel but I don’t really care too much, if Pakistani people can get some representation then good for them, it doesn’t bother me in any way. My biggest problem is that Ms. Marvel is boring so I’m not sure if I have the interest to watch it but we’ll see.
If people seriously get triggered by the fact that they bring in heroes who aren’t white males then that’s none of my concern. As long as the end profuct is good. My problem with Captain Marvel wasn’t that it was woke SJW communist garbage (it was waaaay less woke than I expected), my problem is that CM is a boring character and Brie Larson is a boring no personality actress.

I actually don’t think Ms. Marvel is the most potentially woke future MCU show/movie, I think that “prize” goes to the Eternals with the insane amount of gender swapping!
I’m not saying it’s impossible the Eternals might be salvaged by a good story, but I would’ve rather seen them in the MCU as they were in the comics, I don’t even have a problem if they cast people who aren’t the exact same race as the characters
I’ve only read a couple of comics with Ms. Marvel in it, and the ones I’ve read she’s pretty funny, I hope the show will be too

Indemnity politics is a hudge turnoff to general audiences and the harder you push it the more people are repelled. People genuinely support equality, but Hollyweird wants everyone to think that most people are bigoted and closed minded when really thats their problem. The actor who plays Falcon is also not woke based on an interview he did.

I see what you mean and I would probably 100% agree, but I’m not completely against race/gender bending. Nick Fury as black was awesome, and as I have no knowledge of Eternals, I can’t be triggered about them ”ruining” my favorite characters. So as someone who has 0 knowledge about the Eternals, the race and gender bending doesn’t bother me at all as it makes them easier to differentiate and remember. It woukd be lame as hell tbh if we got like 5 superman looking dudes flying in superhero underwear.

Neither character can live up to the standards of Captain America Steve Rogers, and they push/punish each other on this self failings as they try to out-do each other, often with hilarious results.

I don’t have a problem with race swapping, so long as race is not an integral part of the character and the actor cast is the best for the role, but I do think gender swapping goes too far, at that point it’s like you’re making a completely new character, but you’re too lazy to actually make a new one
and as I have no knowledge of Eternals, I can’t be triggered about them “ruining” my favorite characters.
I get what you mean, I have zero knowledge of Archie Comics, and I love Riverdale, I’m sure the tone and story is very different from the original, on the other hand, I grew up watching Sabrina and Winx, and their reboots really annoy me, however, the things that annoy me about these reboots are the same things that’d annoy me on any other show/movie, Winx, like Eternals, they changed the characters too much, Sabrina, I just wasn’t into the new story, the fact that I already knew these characters and stories just made the annoyance more obvious
