RUMOR: Pedro Pascal Leaving The Mandalorian?

On the podcast The Hot Mic, Jeff Sneider of The Ankler has reported that actor Pedro Pascal is unhappy with the direction of The Mandalorian’s third season. Additionally, he says that showrunner Jon Favreau and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy have continued to knock heads, unable to agree on the show’s trajectory or how it ties into the larger Star Wars story. Specifically, Din wasn’t supposed to see Grogu until season 3 of Mandalorian, but Disney and Kennedy urged the creatives to hurry Grogu’s return. Check out Sneider’s comments here:

Is anyone surprised at this point? I’m treating this as a rumor for now, but it’s very believable and would explain a lot. There are also the rumors and theories, which Sneider also mentions, about Din Djarin potentially dying in the finale, cementing Bo-Katan as the focal point after a season of her story. If this really happens, either his death or Pascal leaving for other reasons, I will stop watching. I think that’s the one way they can totally lose my interest.

But what do you think? Do you believe the rumors, and if so, what do you make of them? Sound off in the comments!
