I like the classics like Dark Cloud, Super Mario 64 (all Mario games, actually), Donkey Kong, Megaman Legends 1 and 2, Ducktales (the Remastered soundtrack is insane). Halo’s soundtrack is amazing although I’ve never played anything on an XBox. GTA Vice City radio stations got me into 80s music (and eventually I got into earlier decades because of it). A lot of old Japanese SEGA games had killer soundtracks like Virtua Fighter etc.
Pretty much every Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater game up to Underground 1 and 2, Super Mario RPG, most Madden games up to 2008(Stand out years for me being 2003, 2005 and 2008), Super Mario Bros 3, Super Mario 64, Yoshi’s Island, Donkey Kong Country 1-3, Halo 1-3, The Legend of Zelda series, Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask, The Wind Waker, the list could go on. These are among my favorites, especially Tony Hawk and Madden because a lot of the music they used for those games heavily influenced my taste in music.

Sonic Mania really nailed it with remixes of the original MegaDrive games, but they knocked it out of the park with the new stuff. It makes you wish for a sequel that’s composed of nothing but new stuff. Tee Lopes tracks are God-tier.
