Another week, another slew of headlines featuring Disney falling flat on their faces. Poor Walt must be rolling in his grave. Let’s jump in!
China’s Shanghai Disney resort has closed yet again due to a spike in Covid-19. The park closed because China is enforcing a “zero-tolerance” strategy. This is not good for Disney – they love their Chinese money.
Yep, Disney and the Oscars forgot to send an invitation to Rachel Zegler, the star of the remake of West Side Story, or Woke Side Story. Rachel even commented on her Instagram that the snub was disappointing, yet she was still proud of her movie. Rachel is currently filming Disney’s live-action Snow White, in which she will portray the titular character.
Brie Larson has tweeted about NFTs and the Metaverse, and her fans are not for it. Watch below!
Looks like it’s “Bob vs. Bob,” as Disney’s CEO, Bob Chapek, is no longer on speaking terms with former CEO Bob Iger. This is due to several reasons.
First, Iger delayed his retirement to help “tackle the COVID pandemic.” Iger had personally selected Chapek to replace him, yet Chapek is furious that he stayed longer than planned.
Second, Iger recently spoke out against Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay Bill,” which doesn’t even include the word “gay” in it. Disney employees have condemned Chapek for not taking his own stance like Iger has.
Disney is still mad about Florida’s new bill and has come out and posted on their social media that they are once again pro LGBT+. A majority of the comments on their Facebook post are blasting Disney for involving themselves in politics and not even bothering to read the bill.
D23 strongly denounces all legislation that infringes on the basic human rights of the LGBTQIA+ community. We stand with our LGBTQIA+ community at Disney, within the Disney fandom, and around the world. D23 is committed to creating a community of acceptance and respect.

As reported last week, the “big walkout” occurred on the twenty-second! Watch below for an update. Even the cast of Raven’s Home joined the walkout.
It gets even worse; over one hundred Disney employees in California are now threatening to stop building new attractions in protest!
Ben Shapiro’s wife is a doctor, so have a listen to what he thinks!
Hear what YoungRippa59 has to say:
To make things even more interesting, Democrats have pulled a fundraiser from Florida due to the “backlash” over the new bill. The Democratic will henceforth find a new date and venue to hold Leadership Blue.
But it’s not all doom and gloom; many Disney employees wrote an open letter asking for Disney to be politically neutral. Employees and Disney consumers just want entertainment; they do not want to be lectured and preached to.
That’s right, folks; Cheaper By The Dozen has been remade… again! How original. Exclusively on Disney+, the couple is now bi-racial, making it extremely progressive, and if you don’t like it, you are a racist. The end. Goodbye.
There are ten children in this film, even though the title suggests “twelve.” Why even use this title? Is Disney afraid that if they don’t remake a classic movie, no one will bother watching because they know it just won’t be good? “It’s a trap!” They want to lure you in with the title. If anything, this trailer suggests it is more of a remake of the 1968 classic Yours, Mine, and Ours.
The movie is so woke, the dogs are called “Bark Obama and Joe Biten.” Woof.
Because it isn’t Disney if they aren’t putting their abnormally large nose in other people’s business, Disney had decided to oppose Texas Governor Abbott’s “order to investigate those performing some sex-change surgeries or treatments on children.”
Paul Richardson, Disney’s Chief Human Resources Officer, announced:
“Because of our presence in Texas, we want you to know that we’ve signed on to the Human Rights Campaign’s letter opposing the Texas bill that criminalizes parents who provide for their transgender children gender affirming[sic] care.”
Obi-Wan Kenobi director Deborah Chow has come out and said that Darth Vader is not as powerful as he is in A New Hope. It doesn’t really make any sense. Click here to read Virginia’s article!
