Johnny Depp Plays Jack Sparrow Again, but Not for Disney

Captain Jack is back, but not in the way people were expecting. Kori, a young boy living in England, has Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, or HLHS, and is currently in heart failure. His dream was to start a YouTube channel and get 100,000 subscribers so that he could receive a YouTube plaque. His channel is called Kraken the Box, and he’s up to 5.82k subscribers. As you can see, he’s got another wish: to meet Johnny Depp. Based on the name of his channel and the description in the “about” section, he’s likely a big Pirates of the Caribbean fan. Well, thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Kori got a surprise earlier today:

Johnny Depp is a great guy. He’s done things like this before, visiting sick children as Jack Sparrow. And he stays in character, too, rather than just going through the motions. It’s good to see him as Captain Jack again, and doubly so for the reason he did it. I hope it made Kori happy, and I really hope he makes 100,000 subscribers.
