Knives Out Sequel Releases First Trailer

Netflix released the first trailer for Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery today. Rian Johnson’s sequel to his smash hit Knives Out comes out this holiday season and kicks off the franchise’s future with Netflix. Daniel Craig reprises his role as Detective Benoit Blanc, with fresh faces in the form of Kate Hudson, Leslie Odom Jr., Dave Bautista, and more. Check out the trailer here:

I like the trailer a lot. The whole style and atmosphere fits with Knives Out, but it doesn’t feel like an exact copy. I especially like some new cast members like Edward Norton and Leslie Odom Jr. Put him in all the things, please, Hollywood. The elephant in the room is The Last Jedi, especially in light of Johnson’s recent interview where he reflected on that film. I hated the sequels as much as the next person, but I loved Knives Out, and I’m tired of constantly going back over things I hate. I can’t wait to see Glass Onion.
