Disney+ titles The Mandalorian, WandaVision, and Loki are getting Blu-ray releases, as well as versions with the 4K UHD treatment. Loki’s first season becomes available on Sept. 26, WandaVision on Nov. 28, and The Mandalorian seasons 1 and 2 on Dec. 12. The disc sets will contain bonus features and come in Steelbook packaging with artwork by Attila Szzarka. Loki will come with special features including deleted scenes, a gag reel, a featurette called “Designing the TVA” with Kasra Farahani, the production designer, and star Tom Hiddleston, the Miss Minutes video, and the documentary “Assembled.” The special features for The Mandalorian and WandaVision haven’t been announced.
This would have been cooler about two years ago; now, it just seems like a desperate act to glean more money from a sinking streaming service. The Marvel and Mandalorian brands aren’t what they were when these seasons aired on Disney+.
But what do you think? Are you going to get these Blu-rays? Let us know in the comments!
