Team Green or Black? House of the Dragon Drops Dual Trailers

Today, MAX released two separate trailers for House of the Dragon season 2, themed Green and Black for the Hightowers and Rhaenyra, respectively. Check them out here, and let us know which side you’re on:

I really, really enjoyed season 1 of House of the Dragon. I wasn’t looking forward to it, mostly because of that last season of Game of Thrones. But I was thoroughly surprised and delighted by the characters and situations presented here. The trailers are both really good, and I like Olivia Cooke. I can understand where Alicent is coming from as a character, but if you watched all of season 1, I don’t see how you could not support Rhaenyra. Aegon is a monster, and Aemond is smarter than him but more dangerous. Aemond has his stuff together, which makes him scarier and less predictable. Despite her good intentions and erstwhile affection for Rhaenyra, Alicent has raised a pair of horrible sons who would be horrific tyrants as leaders. Both sides have bad attributes and some bad people, but the choice is obvious. King Viserys was one of the only good people in season 1, and he wanted Rhaenyra to succeed him. Given the King’s dying wishes and all that has transpired, Rhaenyra is the only choice. This is clever marketing, leaning into people’s tendency to choose sides.
