Wish Becomes Third Most Streamed Disney+ Animation Debut

Disney’s Wish debuted on Disney+ last Wednesday, April 3rd. At this time, it has racked up 13.2 million views, trailing after Encanto and Frozen II, although no streaming numbers are available for those films. Pixar’s Elemental got 26.4 million views in its first five days, at least putting it ahead of Wish

I don’t know what to make of these figures. It doesn’t sound good to me since Elemental, which had a theatrical run like Wish, got twice as many streaming views in the same amount of time. It doesn’t help that we don’t have hard numbers for Encanto or Frozen II. I didn’t like Wish at all; it fails as a movie, a musical, and a tribute to Disney’s 100-year legacy. So I’m honestly wondering what people who watched it thought and if they did/would have seen it in the theater. I want this movie to do poorly so Disney gets the message that they have to try harder if they want success.

But what do you think? Are these good numbers, and did you see Wish? Sound off in the comments!
