The Acolyte Begins Production, Announces Cast

This morning, Star Wars announced that the High Republic-set Disney+ series The Acolyte has begun production. A graphic was also released showing additional cast members joining the previously-announced Amandla Stenberg, Lee Jung-jae, and Charlie Barnett. Check out the official updated cast here: 

Stenberg, Dafne Keen, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Dean-Charles Chapman are the only ones I’ve seen before. Keen famously played Laura in Logan, Chapman was Tommen in Game of Thrones, and Moss is best known for The Matrix. At this point, we still know so little about The Acolyte that I hardly know what to make of news about it. I find it refreshing, though, not knowing exactly what to expect. I hope the show is good, but I won’t be too shocked if it turns out like Obi-Wan Kenobi or The Book of Boba Fett.
