Doctor Who has done it again; they have prioritized woke virtue-signaling above any concerns for plot, character, or cohesive world-building. No longer are roles created and actors cast based on merit. Only the political clout gained from a role or performer holds any sway at Doctor Who. As announced by the official Doctor Who Twitter account, Jinkx Monsoon, a drag queen and two-time winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race, has been cast in a “major role” in the upcoming series.
Hi Jinkx! ♥️♥️➕ ⛈️

Jinkx, an “actress” with no significant or even minor film or television roles accredited, is a biological man who has built a career on dressing up as an exaggerated caricature of a woman. What about such a career warrants Jinkx’s casting in the longest-running science-fiction show of all time? Those that responded to this announcement had little trouble answering this question as fierce debates are currently occurring within the replies to that Tweet, with rational people decrying the insanity of such an announcement nigh on drowning out the incessant cries of the wokely-inclined. The fandom that has been mistreated and abused far more than any other will not stand for this latest proof that good Doctor Who is no longer the priority of those making Doctor Who.
Even returning Doctor Who superstars Russel T. Davies, David Tennant, and Catherine Tate have proven insufficient to woo this fandom back. In fact, RTD is doing the opposite, as decisions like this one, the casting of Yasmin Finney, and the upcoming multi-platform adventure Doom’s Day were not only approved under his leadership but created by RTD himself. RTD spoke to the BBC Newsroom upon the announcement of Jinkx’s casting to assuage any doubt about where his allegiances or priorities lie. He said:
“In a galaxy of comets and supernovas, here comes the biggest star of all. Jinkx Monsoon is on a collision course with the TARDIS, and Doctor Who will never be the same again!”
“Doctor Who will never be the same again!” How influential and important will Jinkx’s character be? RTD is not the savior of Doctor Who sent to redeem the franchise after Chris Chibnall’s disastrous tenure. All he is doing is sealing its fate even further. Casting an underqualified actor for virtue-signaling reasons is merely the latest in a long line of decisions he’s made to prove these statements abjectly fact. The future of this series is more like a Doctor Who drag parody than actual Doctor Who.
