HBO Hit Euphoria Delayed (Again)

HBO has delayed filming Euphoria season 3 for the umpteenth time, citing ongoing script work and difficulty coordinating the schedules of the show’s cast. The third season has already been pushed back due to strikes and the unfortunate passing of Angus Cloud, who plays Fez. Production was supposed to get underway soon, with a 2025 premiere date, which would mean a three-year hiatus between seasons 2 and 3. But now, it will be more than that, though no official time frame for its release is mentioned. Check out a quote from Variety’s exclusive report here:

“HBO and Sam Levinson remain committed to making an exceptional third season,” an HBO spokesperson told Variety. “In the interim, we are allowing our in-demand cast to pursue other opportunities.”

Well, this sucks. I wish I were surprised, and I really wish the show was coming out soon. I don’t know how they’ll move forward without Fez, especially since it was heavily implied that Ashtray died at the end of last season. This is just sad news all around, as that season ended so well and with so much setup for future seasons. They can always pick those threads back up, but it’s going to be weird after so much time. I really hope they end up making it at some point, and sooner rather than later.

But what do you think? Are you looking forward to more Euphoria? Let us know in the comments!
