HBO Max Price Increases For the First Time

Today, HBO Max revealed that its price will increase from $14.99 to $15.99. This is the service’s first increase since its launch in 2020. This announcement comes in the wake of the change in leadership, canceled projects, and removal of content from HBO Max. 

I wish I was surprised. I’m not upset with the price hike in and of itself, but in context, it’s pretty funny. How are you going to lower the amount of content offered by your service, going as far as to cancel upcoming projects, and then increase the price? I’m not going to cancel my subscription in protest, but I don’t think this is a good look.
