RUMOR: Daredevil and Kingpin to Appear in Echo

Marvel’s next TV heroine found herself a really good lawyer. In the “Hot Scoop or Shot of Poop” segment of yesterday’s episode of YouTube podcast “The Weekly Planet,” host James Clement revealed that two sources have told him that Charlie Cox’s Daredevil will be a big presence on te Disney+ series Echo, appearing in three of the six episodes. Additionally, Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin, will be in four episodes. For spoiler-filled details of their roles in the story, read below the warning.

Daredevil will be looking for Jessica Jones and wearing “a red and black suit.” Fans are speculating that this suit could be a version of the armored one from the 90s comics:
Meanwhile, Kingpin will be running for mayor of New York City and will be wearing an eyepatch after being shot by Echo in the final episode of Hawkeye. It’s unclear whether Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones will also turn up or if this is, as Clement suggests, “laying the groundwork” for a future return. If that’s the case, it’s questionable whether Kingpin will be the central villain or just a background character setting up Daredevil season 4, which is rumored to be on the way. I certainly hope so; I hated the way Fisk was treated in Hawkeye, and I don’t look forward to more wacky hijinks in another Disney+ series. That doesn’t mean Daredevil will be any better, but there’s a greater chance of Disney and Marvel maintaining the tone and quality of that show than making one of their new ones treat any of those characters with respect.
