I still personally believe Gender Dysphoria (previously gender identity disorder), is still a mental disorder to those that really are effected by it and a social disorder to those brainwashed into wanted to fit into the “it/victim” crowd.

History will look back and wonder how we survived this era, if our civilization survives that is.

There is no personally about it.  Gender Dysphoria IS an illness.  It has been considered so up until the last 5mins.  But that’s all a lie. If it’s not an illness now, why does it require treatment?

It’s only expanded because (like most leftist nonsense) they changed the definition.  To be “trans” used to mean post surgery but now it’s a feeling because gender is “fluid”.  So anyone at any moment can decide to be trans.  And if you are a lonely unhappy teenage girl (yes this affects most young ladies), now you can have a community and a purpose instantly by saying you are trans.  You just have to 100% tow the line.

The saddest thing is the left/establishment is just using those poor folks as soldiers in their war against We The People.  They don’t help them with their problems, they celebrate their sickness because it helps the establishment.  It’s the opposite of compassion. It’s total indifference.

We need more people like JK Rowling on this.

I agree and then I don’t.  It appears inspiring that someone is taking a stand for their beliefs.  But that used to be common.  And Rowling is still a hard leftist and she I think is a billionaire so she has F U money and needs no one or anything.  She can tell people openly she loves to eat live puppies.  She would be shunned.  But it would make no difference in her life.

The heros we need in that war are people who have to risk their comfort or possibly sacrifice to take a stand.   This is why the countermovement is slow.  Everyone is waiting for someone to ride in on a white horse and save them.  That’s not going to happen.  Trump is not that guy either.  Because no one is.  We all are trying to figure out how to “do something” but without risk.  Well, there is no such thing.  If we want change, we have to band together and make the change.  Otherwise, in under a decade we will comfort ourselves into absolute tyranny.

Michael Gambon, Dumbledore in Harry Potter films, dead at 82

Veteran actor (Sir) Michael Gambon, who was known to many for his portrayal of Hogwarts headmaster Albus Dumbledore in six of the eight Harry Potter films, has died, his publicist said Thursday. He was 82.

A statement by his family, issued by his publicist, said he died following “a bout of pneumonia.”

        RIP

Gambon once acknowledged not having read any of J.K. Rowling’s best-selling books, arguing it was safer to follow the script rather than be too influenced by the books. This didn’t prevent him from embodying the spirit of Professor Dumbledore, the powerful wizard who fought against evil to protect his students.

Sadly, too many in hollywoke don’t want to respect the lore/source material, and just blindly follow the script regardless of how it differs from the source, or be called problematic/hard to work with.

But I can’t begrudge him too much, as I have never read the novels either (but I do have them in my personal library).

“That’s how the radical left works.”

Entirely false, the Radical left is constantly at odds against itself and alienated the rest of their voters. We are constantly seeing democrats attacking and maiming each other until there’s nothing left.

Hell, they can’t even accept JK Rowling, someone who agrees with them on almost every other subject.

The fact remains, MAGA/True Republicans need to work in unison to combat the misinformation and inhumane ideology that is the left. We can agree that we can do things differently, but it has to be to achieve the same goal.

Crowder being divisive is our weak point and doesn’t combat the issues at hand, it holds us as divisive which is the Democrats talking point against us.

I’m going to requote this statement as it holds true: A house divided against itself, cannot stand.

Overall the game is done very well and above all it is fun.  Hence why it has done so well.

It has done well because it’s Harry Potter not because the game is actually good.

While there were some things that you can magnify and call them woke those things are few and far between.

I am not magnifying anything, I made a list of the woke trash in that game that isn’t magnifying, and it is there, stop trying to gaslight me.

It must be noted that while you think it sucks and it’s woke the woke people think it is not woke enough and want to ruin people who play it.

Completely untrue, they are not against the game because they think the game is not woke thats is a complete LIE, they are against it because JK Rowling statements on Twitter, the developers DID put a ton of effort into making the game as woke as possible, they fucking call you THEY for fucks sake.

You are being a complete blind fanboy about this seriously and this is the problem with gaming this days, people defending this companies and franchises because they like them and refusing to acknowledge what is happening, I just can not believe someone is actually trying to tell me this game has nothing woke on it and that basically I am exaggerating when it is fucking there in your face all the time, not only that but actually trying to say the game is doing well because its good and not woke when it is doing well because the IP is carrying the game.

“I don’t mind these stereotypes but it’s just a small pointer that Rowling operates on western stereotypes about characters”

Well yeah that is logical since she is from the west.  Her literary work will reflect her point of view from the part of the world she hails from.  Who cares.  Everyone just needs to leave each other alone.  Buy her stuff if you like it and don’t if you don’t.  The problem is not her work is that you have professional activists out there who make it their life’s work to track down and rage against people that disagree with them.

          #293277

They are upset over its name, for all things.

Yeah I saw that on Twitter and rolled my eyes. It’s pretty far fetched.

But I do agree that Rowling tends to make stereotypes of religion/race in the HP franchise. Some examples are naming the Asian character Cho Chang which doesn’t make any sense and is just basically basic Asian sounding names mixed together. Also all the Asian characters are Ravenclaws which is another stereotype. And the jewish family named Goldstein as well as the greedy bankers having stereotypical jewish traits.

I don’t mind these stereotypes but it’s just a small pointer that Rowling operates on western stereotypes about characters

          @Mustangride1

I’ve read the TrueBlood books and I did enjoy them for most of the part. The climax on the last one was a bit lacklustre though. As for ‘Game of Thrones’ I’ve enjoyed the books but I’ve only seen up to series 4. Other TV shows have taken up my occupation so I’ve not watched seasons 5 and 6 yet (I’m NOT watching 7 and 8 until the books come out). When the Harry Potter films were coming out Rowling had just finished the fourth book but she still found time to write the other three books between press events events and working with the films (I’m going to pretend those horrible ‘Fantastic Beasts’ films and books don’t exist). Sadly, times have changed since ‘Game of Thrones’ originally came out and I’m going to assume that the only reason why Martin hasn’t released the last book is because he knows Twatter will be after him.

Johnny Depp’s Salaries For ‘Fantastic Beasts’, ‘Murder On The Orient Express’ And More Revealed During Defamation Trial

On the 2017 hit “Murder on the Orient Express”, for example, (the actor’s agent, Jack) Whigham testified that Depp had earned a payday of $10 million.

For his role as the villain in J.K. Rowling’s “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald”, Depp was paid $13.5 million. He was replaced by Mads Mikkelsen for the recent third entry in the franchise.

Depp was paid $8 million for his role in 2018’s “City of Lies”, and took home only $1 million for 2019’s “Waiting for the Barbarians”.

The actor also took a pay cut for the 2020 film “Minamata”, Whigham testified, earning $3 million for his role.

Whigham also claimed that had “Pirates of the Caribbean 6” been made, Depp’s salary would have been a whopping $22.5 million.

Those are definately NOT Robert Downey Jr payday levels (earned at least $75 million from Avengers: Endgame. Per Forbes base pay + share of profits)

Or Chris Evans $15 Million per MCU film, or Chris Hemsworth’s $20 Million he currently enjoys.

So the fact Depp is losing out so much on Pirates 6 because of the unproven accusations is great (and any future films too).  Let alone all the joy Depp brings to children when he visits hospitals to cheer them up dressed as Captain Sparrow.  Which I don’t think Disney will allow until Depp clears his name/reputation.

Disney is only playing catch up to the Grooming and the sexual harassment of kids in the media. It’s already there. Trans Bruce Jenner was just hired by Fox News. Let’s face it, the media, your schools and your churches are already grooming the public to accept pedophilia. The newest meme out there is one called “OK, Groomer.” The GOP once gave it’s Evangelical base a pedophile as house speaker named Dennis Hastert. Madison Cawthorn blew the whistle recently and said that orgies and drugs fuel the political class.

This is why I can no longer support NATO. This system is pushing twinks like Desmond is Amazing. I have seen sexual content aimed at teens and younger in the public libraries. Nobody votes for this. Nobody supports this. In fact, even the feminists don’t want six foot men in their sports and swim meets. Even Billie Jean King and Martina Navratilova have spoken against this, as has JK Rowling. They only people I see supporting are Ron Perlman and maybe Sulu from Star Trek. Also, just notice that there were all these accusations leveled at the Catholic church long before any of this agenda took off, so you wonder if it was some kind of pre-emptive strike?

I hear you! :) I have a friend who felt that way when he first started writing, but then he realized it’s not so much the idea that matters, it’s the implementation, and the implementation is -hard-. He then felt a lot freer to relay his ideas. :)

The Harry Potter series is based on a simple idea, when you get down to it, and lots have tried to replicate the “magic school”, but I haven’t seen any come close to Rowling’s implementation.

Speaking of my friend, here’s his author website:

          Hail all!

I’ve been a professional lurker for the past few years, watching and reading without commenting or posting.  I figured it was high time to re-introduce myself to the forum.

I’m a 30-something, food-loving, costume-making nerd. I love figuring out how to incorporate my love of fandom into my everyday life via art, fashion, and design. I’m not much of a gamer, but I’m an avid watcher of the MarioKart streams. I love Lucas’ Star Wars, Tolkien ‘s LotR, and Rowling’s Harry Potter. I love classic literature and classic movies. I don’t know where I’ll fit amongst the forums, but I’m interested to see what happens as I hope to be more active here in the future rather than just lurking.

          Here’s to what comes next!

Except for JK Rowling, the silence of other women sends a message that, as long as a man misgenders himself, it’s ok to molest or assault women. Just as long as that trans caveat is there, it’s ok. This is why one must roll their eyes at “sexual harassment in the metaverse.” https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2021/dec/18/metaverse-new-venue-sexual-harassment-facebook

That is an issue? As women lose opportunities in their own sports, metaverse harassment is important? Saw the same thing with John Campea lately. Guess some comments section talked about how hot and attractive his new co-host was? This lady came out of nowhere. Hollywood is rife with perversion at the highest levels from people John grovels to, but some online comments are the problem? Real harassment at CNN and movie studious but Campea waves his finger at youtube?

This is why when you hear about “women in STEM” or Ivanka talke about “Business for women”, that’s all just talk until the trans shows up and then, the grievance pecking order sets in. Sick of the virtue-signaling and lame socialites.

@DragonLady Good posts on this thread. No one is safe from this encroaching menace. The LGBTQ+ community is being used as cover to open a Pandora’s box for the mentally ill to assault people. It’s all over and at every strata. This is why youth like Kyle Rittenhouse and the Pizza teenage kid are heroes for fighting back against criminals since the supposed defenders and protectors are not getting it done anymore. If the trans thing is an issue in women’s sports and women start losing every contest, what is the state of your police and military once they become woke? JK Rowling has my respect for holding the line on gender and defending women.

The Reunion video does nothing for me. Nostalgia hits me at times, in different ways, but in movies, you really see age and time become a factor. You can’t really go back. I’ve been chuckling at the videos regarding the new Matrix movie and they are spot on. It looks off. Last Jedi looked off. Further Potter could work if they came back as teachers and had to encounter a new generation of young, talented students with their own marks and abilities. As for Fantastic Beasts, I remember kind of liking it because it reminded me a little bit of Laurel and Hardy in the Wizarding World with the chubby sidekick guy, but it reminded me nothing of Harry Potter. Movies became things I just wanted to get through and get over with. Entertainment became more of an endurance challenge in patience than an event I used to look forward to. Every once in a while, one can say that yes, it was a good experience. Those are becoming more rare. I don’t care about the cast as much, just as long as the story and the writing is there and something special is achieved. Depp may be missed, but Ezra is unbearable. Have no real opinion on Mads and agree with previous comments that he wasn’t imposing in past roles.

Thanks for the posts. It’s interesting to hear from women on this topic. If females banded together, there’s nothing they can’t do, so it’s really interesting to see so much fear over the trans thing, the mask thing and the vaccines. You’d think folks would not go along with it.

          @comicsgate

Rowling is spot on in this. Look at what’s happening in sports, especially after the Tokyo Olympics. Yes Trans athletes should be allowed to compete in sports but they should have their OWN category! It wouldn’t surprise me that come a few years from now a lot of sports women are going to be complaining like mad about not being able to beat that new weightlifting record unless they take loads of steroids! I’m guessing that the reason why there isn’t one is so that they don’t have to work hard in order to achieve something that can be worthwhile in the end.

Meanwhile, in the UK we’ve got clothing stores like Primark and M+S putting in gender neutral toilets and changing rooms. Not ONE woman I know is happy about this as they no longer feel safe in some of these places. There’ve already been incidents that aren’t as wildly reported as they should be because of this.

I support the LGBT+ community but at the same time, we women should also have the right to feel safe in clothing stores, public toilets and schools.
